Ultra Electronics Australia is now part of the Ultra Maritime Strategic Business Unit.
Our capabilities can be found on the majority of the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) fleet, including the Hobart Class DDG, ANZAC Class frigates, Adelaide Class FFG, Huon Class Minehunters and Collins Class submarines. Ultra is a leading Australian business in the design, development, manufacture and sustainment of Electronic Warfare (EW) systems for land, sea and airborne applications. Ultra’s technical capabilities are underpinned by expert domain-knowledge of the implementation of EW in tactical and operational scenarios. Our EW products include; signals intelligence (SIGINT); self protection systems; airborne signature management; missile warning; and counter IED technologies.
We provide local delivery, integration and sustainment of Ultra’s specialist advanced systems that deliver a warfighting edge in the maritime battlespace. These encompass Anti-submarine Warfare (ASW) sonar applications, towed and expendable off-board acoustic countermeasures, sonobuoys, and signature management solutions for surface and sub-surface platforms.
