We are very excited to announce that Ultra has received the Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award for our ‘outstanding support towards the Armed Forces community’. This award represents the highest badge of honor and is awarded to employers that employ and support those who currently serve, veterans, and their families.
The Employer Recognition Scheme was launched in 2014 by the then Prime Minister David Cameron to recognise employer support for the wider principles of the Armed Forces Covenant and the full spectrum of Defence personnel. This includes the Reserves, service leavers, cadets, spouses and wounded, injured and sick.
To achieve Gold Award status, a company must uphold recruitment and HR policies that are positive to people in and leaving the armed forces and create opportunities for Veterans, Reserves, and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers, as well as spouses and partners of those serving in the Armed Forces. Ultra pledged its continued support to current and future employees from the military and other forces’ veterans, reservists and their families, globally with the launch of its ONE Ultra Forces Charter earlier in 2021. The charter sets out to recognise, respect and show gratitude for military and forces’ service communities, take positive measures to prevent any disadvantage and support our wider ESG strategy.
We are extremely proud to be recognised with this prestigious award and are dedicated to continuing to support those who are currently or have previously served in the Armed Forces and their families.
