Ultra participates in Project Convergence to demonstrate key capabilities
- Ultra will be participating in both objectives 1A and 1B as well the Tech Gateway event showcasing cutting-edge solutions such as Rapid Application of Information (RAIN), Ultra’s ORION and ADSI products.
- Ultra’s solutions for Project Convergence will also be demonstrated at AUSA, October 10-12.
AUSTIN, TX—October 6, 2022—Ultra, a leading provider of C2I, communications, cyber and intelligence solutions for the defense industry, was selected by the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force and U.S. Marine Corps to participate in several events this October and November in support of Project Convergence 2022.
Ultra will be present at Camp Pendleton and China Lake, California during the month of October and part of November to support multiple scenarios in support of Project Convergence. Our team will be on-site to demonstrate its virtual All Domain Systems Integrator (vADSI) and RAIN integrated solution to support the joint air defence events throughout the experiment. RAIN is a software application which provides decision-quality data at the speed and scale of machines to get the right information to the right people at the right time. RAIN applies Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AI/ML) and advanced analytics to big/fast data from multiple sources and across multiple classification domains to deliver near real-time actionable information to tactical decision makers. RAIN integrates with vADSI, Ultra’s software version of their flagship solution or other command & control systems, to provide operators with real-time, actionable data so they can deliver mission critical intelligence directly to the warfighter—all in a fraction of the time that it currently takes.
Ultra will also be at Yuma Proving grounds in Arizona from October 11 to 19 for the Technology Gateway Event to demonstrate the Multi-Domain Systems Integrator (MDSI) solution. MDSI brings together best-of-breed Ultra command & control, intelligence, cyber and communications solutions to provide a more secure, resilient, and integrated multi-domain battlespace for the US Joint and Coalition Force operating in the Mission Partner Environment. MDSI will deliver a Relevant Common Operating Picture (RCOP), encrypted full motion video, Voice-over-IP (VoIP) and chat functions to the warfighter at the tactical edge for improved situational awareness, and deliver information at the speed of relevance from the tactical edge to commanders and planners over a network powered by Ultra’s flagship ORION tactical radios. Ultra’s tactical communications solutions will extend, mobilize and bridge the existing Upper Tactical Tier (UTT) with the Lower Tactical Tier (LTT) for the U.S. Army by providing modular, integrated and unified tactical radio solutions protected at the highest levels by Ultra’s unique cryptographic technology.
Additionally, Ultra will demonstrate the integrated vADSI and Advanced Correlation & Tracking Solution (ACTS) solution for the U.S. Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton during October. The capability is supporting the Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA) Marine Littoral Regiment (MLR) Lab initiatives for Tactical Datalink control and forwarding. The MLR lab will use the vADSI and ACTS to provide a Common Tactical Picture to a regimental level Headquarters element during the event. This includes the ability to host a Link-16 terminal as well as participate in the ground fires network via Variable Message Format (VMF).
“Ultra is committed to the success of Project Convergence, as well as DoD’s broader JADC2 objectives for a more connected multi-domain battlespace,” said Lori Thompson, Ultra’s senior vice president of Strategy, Business Development and Marketing. “Ultra’s solutions are critical in enabling JADC2 in the Mission Partner Environment with fielded C2I, Tactical Communication and encryption solutions and PC22 offers us the ideal opportunity to trial the connection of these modular solutions to provide vital communications across the battlespace.”
Ultra’s solutions demonstrated at these events will also be on hand in the Ultra booth at the U.S. Army’s AUSA event in Washington, D.C. from October 10 to 12.
